Yehuda Hanani, Cello
2010: Second 3 Week Session (weeks 4 & 5 only)* Faculty, University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory. Yehuda Hanani has performed as a soloist with Chicago Symphony, Philadelphia Orchestra, Baltimore Symphony, St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, New Orleans, San Antonio, Columbus, Richmond, Berlin Radio Orchestra, Israel Philharmonic, BBC Welsh Symphony, Buenos Aires Philharmonic, Jerusalem Symphony, Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, Seoul Philharmonic, etc. He has collaborated with Leon Fleisher, Aaron Copland, Itzhak Perlman, the Tokyo, and Manhattan quartets, among others. Mr. Hanani made the first recording ever of the Alkan Grand Sonate de Concert, receiving a Grand Prix du Disque nomination. He presents master classes at conservatories worldwide including Juilliard, University of Indiana at Bloomington, New England Conservatory, Peabody Conservatory (on the faculty for 10 years), Berlin Hochschule, Paris Conservatoire, Royal Academy and Guildhall in London, Tokyo National University, Utrecht Conservatory, University of Ottawa, Colombia, Israel, Brazil and others. Since making his New York debut at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, he has appeared at Carnegie Hall, 92nd Street Y, Lincoln Center. He is the founder and artistic director of Close Encounters With Music, presenting thematic chamber music concerts in the Berkshires, Scottsdale, and other cities across the US, and leads "BachAnnalia" festival at CCM. * Will be in residence for weeks 4 and 5 only. Will give 3 weeks worth of lessons in 2 weeks of residency. |
