Peter Howard was a prizewinner of the Casals International Competition and the Queen Elizabeth Competition for String Quartets. He has performed as a soloist with Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, Cleveland Orchestra, and many other orchestras in the United States and Europe. He has performed in recitals in Berlin, London, and New York; toured in South America, Australia, and Mexico, and has collaborated in chamber music performances with Isaac Stern, Leonard Rose, Pinchas Zuckerman, Joseph Silverstein, Shlomo Mintz and Lee Luvisi.

Mr. Howard has served on the faculties of the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, the Cleveland Institute of Music, Bowling Green State University, Bethel College, Northwestern College, Rolandseck Festival, Verbier Festival, and the North Carolina School of the Arts International Music Program. His students have won numerous competitions and awards nationally and internationally, and he has won the Schubert Club and MMTA Teacher of the Year awards.
